Because Robyn asked to see....

Here are the pictures of the quilts I entered in the Topsfield Fair:

I actually won committee's choice for the house quilt and ribbons for the others. It was pretty fun times.

And here are a couple of quilts I've been working on since then:

This one I made for our friends Sam and Deja (and actually looks way better now that it has been quilted)

This one is for a friends who's sister just had a baby. She got the fabric in Hawaii!

And this is a cemetery quilt I made for Kenneth's brother:
He is really into family history and got the idea from some 19th century quilts he found online. So we added family names that he's found in New England, and made him his very own cemetery quilt.

We really do more than just make quilts.. And, I have much more to blog about... maybe I'll just do a year in review :)

Fun times with Dan and Sara

We spent this week with my brother Dan and his cute wife Sara. We had so much fun! Here are some pictures from the week:

We went to the Joseph Smith Birthplace:

We went to a very sunny Red Sox game:

Here they are at the bottom of heartbreak hill:
And here they are at the top:

We also spent time at Walden Pond, downtown Boston, Salem Mass and at a super fun lunch with these cute kids:

We are so grateful to be able so spend time with family :) Thanks for a great week Dan and Sara!!

Happy because..

Not all of you will understand why this makes me so happy.. So, this picture is for those of you who do:

Finally I have shelves instead of bins in the back of my closet... :)

Saturday is a special day..

Because, this week we went to IKEA! -- super fun for me.. not so fun for kenneth. But he was definitely a trooper, and we got all of this cool stuff :

We only spent $15! What a deal right?? .... Okay, maybe not so much a deal as the cashing in of our birthday gift cards. Plus we had delicious Ikea lunch. It was a super fun Saturday :)

Now I need to think of something fun we can do for Kenneth next weekend...

My newest project

I started this quilt a really really long time ago, but never finished it because I got distracted by another project. But, Kenneth and I realized this week that we need a lighter summer quilt for our bedroom - and this project reappeared. It was already half way done, so it was easy to finish, and now we have a fun sea glass quilt for our bed!

This is Kenneth's favorite block:
This is mine:

The pictures don't really do it justice, so I guess if you really want to see it you'll have to come hang out with us :)

Some things never get old...

And one of those things is taking vacations to Palmyra. There is something so special about this town. We had so much fun visiting again, and spending time with family.

Thanks Katie, Court and Bentley! We had so much fun!!!
