Happy because..

Not all of you will understand why this makes me so happy.. So, this picture is for those of you who do:

Finally I have shelves instead of bins in the back of my closet... :)

Saturday is a special day..

Because, this week we went to IKEA! -- super fun for me.. not so fun for kenneth. But he was definitely a trooper, and we got all of this cool stuff :

We only spent $15! What a deal right?? .... Okay, maybe not so much a deal as the cashing in of our birthday gift cards. Plus we had delicious Ikea lunch. It was a super fun Saturday :)

Now I need to think of something fun we can do for Kenneth next weekend...

We're really excited because....

Next weekend we'll be going here:

We'll be visiting here:

And Here:

Hopefully we'll be seeing one of these:

And we'll be staying here:

We've been saying we'll go back for 2 years now. Finally we are actually going! Hooray!!

My newest project

I started this quilt a really really long time ago, but never finished it because I got distracted by another project. But, Kenneth and I realized this week that we need a lighter summer quilt for our bedroom - and this project reappeared. It was already half way done, so it was easy to finish, and now we have a fun sea glass quilt for our bed!

This is Kenneth's favorite block:
This is mine:

The pictures don't really do it justice, so I guess if you really want to see it you'll have to come hang out with us :)

Some things never get old...

And one of those things is taking vacations to Palmyra. There is something so special about this town. We had so much fun visiting again, and spending time with family.

Thanks Katie, Court and Bentley! We had so much fun!!!

The Mantis..

Kenneth recently received a very special handmade present. Of course you should probably know that he has been involved in a cold-war with all mantids for most of his life. Neither side has made any overtly hostile moves. . . until now!

This new friend now resides next to Kenneth's record player - and Kenneth is amazed at how he can see something as so repulsive and so awesome at the same time. Thanks Jeannette!
